Well, 2/27 we finally downed Mag on Archimonde. It was an epic battle that took us many regents, many pots, much pot, many tears later...after a try or two, and a nice job back into the instance, we got em down good.

As I bow out I thank those who were there for me as I became overly optimistic about leading this guild that I have grown so dearly to love. Both new and old many of you are true AMers at heart and I want you to know that.
Thank you again for your time, friendship, all the help to nearly 70, and fun that I've had during my 2.5 years. I will still be around on the forums which I hope that I will still have access to stay connected with many of you.

Hey all,

Another awesome night for the Mob on Archimonde. We were able to one shot all the guys in Gruul's lair, then went on to down VR on the third attempt. This was our first 25man raid since coming to the new server, so it felt good to have downed them all so easily.

Grats to the folks who got T5 shoulders, and the T4 shoulders from Gruul.

I just wanted to say Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all the Mobbers.

I would also like to take a minute to thank those Mobbers who are working so hard to build a better AM in Gorefiend. Not just our raiders who have put a large amount of time, effort, and gold into reaching our current goals and pushing into the next in such a short amount of time but also to those who are working their way up. Though we have a lot of new members, so many have stepped up to help in the rebuilding. I couldn't have done it with out you all. I hope everyone enjoys some time with family and friends during this holiday season both in the world of WOW and in real life.

Extremely late meeting notes:
Thank you to everyone who showed up for the meeting last week and I apologize about not having notes up sooner.

For the most part we talked about what was going to be needed to get us back on the progressive raiding track. It came down to a few simple and important details. First we need to find a group who is willing to participate in the raids on a regular basis. If you are interested in being in the raid group please contact deathwarder or dragonsbane (there is also a post in the forums). Secondly it was suggested that we begin a few heroic runs to help people get geared and ready to go. I would like these to get going as soon as possible so please contact the above two or myself if you have any questions, comments, or concerns regarding the raids.

In other news Guild Banks are up and open for business. Everyone (except refugee's and scouts) may view the Guild Bank tabs. In order to make deposits or Withdraws please contact a CO or above.

Angry Mob has had a variety of leaders, each with a different method to their madness (and yes to run this guild I think you must be somewhat mad). Over our 3+yrs they have each built a guild which has been able to progress through the game as well as keep a humorous social side. This is what I will aim to do as well. I believe thatAM's future will lie in a balance between those more casual players and those who are determined to work towards end-game material.

In order to build a strong guild we need to start with strong leaders. This will be found in myself, the CO's, and two new positions New Member Officer and Raid Officer. I'm trying to look at the remaining members of AM to find not only qualified people for these positions but those who are willing and able to do the work required. I expect those who take these positions to be active. In the past this is where we have fallen short at times. Some members have already stepped up to take officer positions.

Class Officers:
Our new CO's will be responsible for their classes and the characters in them. They will be need to be helpful when it comes to giving advice to lower level characters to help them work towards being prepared for raiding. If you have questions regarding gear, builds ect. these should be some of the first people to contact regarding these questions. Our current CO's are Rustusmaxims for Warlocks, Hemo is Paladin, and Raabank is acting Mage CO. If you are interested in becoming a CO please contact me sometime soon as I would like to have this in place as quickly as possible.

New Positions:
To give us a better chance at developing good raids and good new members I am instating 2 new positions the New Member Officer and the Raid Officer.
The Raid Officer is going to be in charge of setting up and running raids. The RO will also be responsible for working with the other officers concerning the needs to continue on to end game. They will also be required to relay progress and problems directly to me about how our raiding is going. Slimeweaver has agreed to take this position and looks forward to helping those of you who wish to raid.
The New Member Officer is going to be in charge of assisting new AM members get acquainted with the guild. This position will be working directly withCO's to recruit players that have what it takes to be good mobbers whether they be more casual or determined in raiding. They will also be helping new members/alts run through lower level instances

In Search of New Members:
While former mobbers are welcome to rejoin us I think its time to look outside for new blood to bring in. I would like to try and get a variety of people, both casual and serious. To do this I would really like for my class officers to decide what we need (beyond just "a little of everything" or "TANKS"). This way we can create some sort of balance along the way. I would still like the Application to be used for New Members.

Alts:
I have no problem with people having more then one alt. Each player (not in their trail period) can have one main and as many alts as they would like as long as their main either makes steady progress or are already at 70. Please have all alts listed as such in the rankings with your mains name in the notes section.

Last night was a shocking and eventful night. I sat and watched person after person /gquit, during all of this i just kept telling myself that Angry Mob would survive. Before my time with Angry Mob there was at least one rebuilding. I knew that we would pull through this and start the next chapter of our guild. Then as some of you may have read or experienced a massive /kick occurred and nearly every member lost their place. Being as my name was at the beginning of the list I was one of the first ones out and didn't even get a chance to put in a WTF before I got the heartbreaking message saying I had just been kicked. After the initial shock and the fact I couldn't vent in guildchat I posted up on the forum and tried to contact Ciel, to my surprise he /w back.

We talked for some time and he told me his feeling about the situation and what was going on. He told me why he was doing what he was doing. I told him that this had been my home since I started playing WOW 2years ago. I told him what AM meant to people like me. I told him that I was hurt and disappointed that he would not have faith in those who are loyal to AM no matter what. In the end he gave me the role of rebuilding the guild which I fought so hard not to lose.

Angry Mob was and still is something I am proud to be a part of. Many of the people who make up this guild are people I can consider friends, even the ones I don't talk to all that often.

To those of you who found themselves without a guild as they signed on I hope that all of you will consider rejoining. This is not the end of Angry Mob, this is our chance for new beginnings. To rebuild a guild which as Doomrot said was "a guild of like minded assholes that got along and had a group that raided."

This is the question I'm sure people will be asking tomorrow while I'm largely ignoring the forums and at work.

Here's the deal, and many may disagree with my decision and I'm extremely sad to pull it, but there was really no stopping the bleeding and a half fractured guild will never survive long. As much as people still rib Nyar for /gkicking everyone back in the day with Baneraiser, it allowed AM on Gorefiend to continue and rebuild.

Well we're at the same spot and I tried my damndest to get back our core officer group and raiders but they have decided to go a new direction opinions good or bad. So I had a decision. I was the GM of this guild. Paco didn't want it, he expressed that. I didn't really want it because my efforts though they were only half an evening in length, were to get the core back and to get things back on track. They made it clear that was largely impossible.

So we're left with a guild full of people that have been here a short time and those that have been here a long time. Several that have been vocal, and several that have not been. But at the end of the day we were left with largely no raiders. Nobody that could do anything beyond Kara, and a guild I was holding with people I had no clue about.

Rather than allow the name to die, I have taken the chance to be the asshole of the guild for once and I won't sit here and say what I've done for AM in the past and how long I've been here because what's past is past. I'm the ass tonight.

I've largely kicked everyone out of the guild with the help of a few people since the list of members was large. Some of the old officers whose names popped out were spared the kick but ultimately the same affect of what happened several years ago now in Orgrimmar with one Baneraiser and one Nyarlathotep has been duplicated (minus the pink lock tabard).

And in finalty, I have handed the keys to the guild over to Aemok and Wormtooth. They have expressed a willingness to try and rebuild the guild and assemble some of the people caught in the cross fire. I have expressed the want to keep the guild tag on my character but I won't be involved in any rebuilding. I can't do this a second time. I don't have the time, the patience, or quite frankly the will to.

Had I left everyone in the guild it would have died a slow death. People wouldn't have been able to raid much so they would have left. The guild would have turned into a collection of people that haven't logged on in 8 months and I didnt' want to see that.

Agree or disagree with my decision, the decision has been made and what's done is done. So to those of you sitting there going "WTF NOW YOU ASSHOLE!" you have a choice. Whisper Aemok and Wormtooth and talk with them about what they want to do and if you can wear the tag again. Or move onto new horizons and remember the guild tag fondly.

I still want to use these forums for work chat and I will only ever play this game with the AM tag under Ciel. But where the guild goes from now is out of my hands. Some may say it's the easy way out, but there was nothing easy about this decision. I've been in AM since the game pretty much came out. I've been through the highs, I've been through the lows. I can talk for days about memories I have of this guild.

It has been said that AM exists in spirit and in name alone. In the people that talk on these forums and the bonds that have been formed. It has been said that while some people no longer wear the tag or no longer play World of Warcraft that the spirit of Angry Mob continues, the idea of friends enjoying company in an online world, trading stories, and in some cases meeting in real life.

At the end of the day all things come to an end. Ends mark new beginnings and maybe this is another beginning, a third chapter for Angry Mob on Gorefiend. Maybe it will be the end. Who knows. Only time will tell.

All I do know is that I will not hold any ill feelings towards anyone who wants to punch me in the face right now. I want to punch myself in the face right now.

So get in line.

As selfish as it may be, I have destroyed what I created several years ago on taking over AM with nobody but me, Nyar, and Bane in it. Chapter 2 is over. It's up to you all if Chapter 3 starts tomorrow.

It can be rebuilt. Trust me on this (and it may not seem like it now) that if you do end up rebuilding AM and forming Chapter 3 of this guild's existence, you'll look back on this day as I do on the bridge between Chapter 1 and 2, and realize that a clean slate was needed.

With three Karazhan groups rolling this week good things are happening. Moroes fell to the PST group in quick order as our guild strats seem to be coming along well. Attunemen is officially our first epic vending machine of the expansion. Grats to the many casters and Shaman who have seen good drops from him.
